Resolved Question
Myself and my friend , want to start up a business selling handmade chocolates?
We thought if we sell on the internet that would be a good start.Eventually we would like to run a tearoom and sell the handmade chocolate a longside the tearoom . We dont have any business experience between us so any advice would be gratefully received. Info on pro and cons start up costs etc would be good.

Im not a business man but Im assuming you would have to get together and research your plans,Banks will help finance your plans small business loans to help get you started.A friend of mine started up a florist shop after doing a course her big mistake in my eyes is the size of the shop its massive and cost her a fortune each month she is just getting buy.You must be able to trust each other its a big step. You have a good head on your shoulders so I know you will be sensible good luck in what you decide.x

- I would say -just start and make chocs for friends and family just as gifts initially (or have you already done this?)...that will help you get a feel for what chocs are preferred and you can use the experience to see how much time is needed to make them and what the costs are. You can also research what the legal ramifications are (insurance, health and safety). Then you can scale it up. I would start by selling to posh bakeries.....later you can maybe advertise in the colour supplements in the quality papers. Hope that helps.
