Resolved Question
What things can I sell on ebay to make money? I've checked so many links but the thing is...?
Hi.
I have literally looked at every site, including ebay, on what things I could sell..
I know about car boot sales and so on, but I want something I could buy and then make a profit on, on ebay.
Any ideas?
By the way, do stickers/cards and so on sell at this time? I know football ones do, but any other sort of cards/stickers that are popular at the moment?
Thanks.

Your going to have to spend some time trying to be creative. A lot of people are bulk selling items, i've even gotten into wholesaling but a lot of people are already doing this. I can't think of a particular item but CD's, Blue Rays, etc are selling quickly if you can manage to find decent prices.

- I tried selling home made jewellery on ebay, and although nice, it didn't sell. Too many people do this already.
Personally I think that electrical items always sell well on ebay, I will only ever buy mobile phones and sell them on ebay. You always make a profit, even on used ones!
Also, I buy my home essentials on ebay because they are cheaper. For example cat foot, cat litter, over the counter medicines in bulk buy, sweets, and even home made cakes (which you can then send to loved ones fresh). I would say go with electrical items, computer games and stuff. You can check on ebay what sells the most and best on their homepage!
Good luck! - With thousands of categories available, it can be a problem in deciding what products to start selling on eBay.
Amanda O'Brien is a very successful UK based PowerSeller, and this is what she suggests:
"Knowing how to research what's hot right now on eBay is an absolutely sure fire way of picking the right product to sell and, contrary to popular belief, what you need to look for are products that are already selling on eBay, rather than trying to re-invent the wheel. In other words, don't try and introduce a new product. Look at what others are selling successfully and then sell it yourself."
There is a website which tells you what's hot on UK eBay today...Source(s):
- I know someone who goes round the big stores and buys up loads of highly discounted products (various). There seems to be discount bins of slightly soiled items which they cannot put on the shelves and basically sell off at a fraction of retail price. Toys'R'us are a good source.
If say there are 20 items in a discount bin, speak to someone in charge and barter on price for a bulk purchase. It does work.
You need to buy these items a third of the price you could sell for on eBay to make a decent profit after eBay listing costs and Paypal costs. Hope this has helped.
All the best,
Steve - people will buy practically everything! there isn't one thing on ebay that isn't for sale (except livestock of course). and yes stickers will sell but it isn't wise to sell them on ebay. you won't get a reasonable price for them. it is better looking for someone that collects that sort of thing.
