Can you buy a chainsaw in the UK without a chainsaw certificate?

No such thing as a chainsaw certificate in the UK, you can buy them at any large DIY store.

• You can but the process is difficult.. first you must sacrifice a watermelon to the Prince of Gardens, if this step is completed successfully you must then climb the Topless Mountain of Shears, There you will find the wisest of the wise, who will if you have completed all other stages, give you a voucher for a chainsaw.
• To be honest I did not know there was a certificate let a lone you needed to have one to purchase a chainsaw. All I can tell you is I brought one from a local DIY shop & I did not need one. My farther in law showed me how to use it safely & the rest is history.
