Working from home info?

Is there a way to work from home without having to pay to get info etc. Does it exist where people can really earn a living from working from home?

No, there are no legitimate ways of earning anything substantial from home - such as data entry, product assembly, surveys, etc.

I am happy to see the frequency of questions like yours becoming less on this forum. Recently, it seemed like 1 out of every 3 questions in this forum was asking what you are asking.

And , of course, the scammers were all over them like mosquitoes at a nudist camp.

The only way this can happen is if you have worked at a company for a while, and proven your worth and productivity, and you request to work one or two days a week from home - you MAY be allowed to do so.

Then, after a year or 2 of doing this, you request to work 3-4 days a week from home.

• Unless, like me, you are lucky enough to have a salaried job that allows you to work from home then there aren't that many ways to make an income without actually going out to work. Now that almost everyone has access to a computer it is difficult to make money by doing cv's or typing for people. In order to offer your services as a book-keeper etc you would need to have the relevant skills.

  child mind all day, or provide an after-school service. Some collect the child from school and give a meal before parents call after work
  give music or foreign language lessons
  do sewing - both dressmaking, small repairs, making curtains etc.
  provide accountancy services
  provide an ironing service
  
  There are probably lots of other ideas. These are just some I know of in my own locality.

• As previous post has said, scammers will now be all over you. As the saying goes there is no such thing as a free lunch. If working from home was as profitable and as free to set up as everybody thinks it is then we would all be doing it wouldnt we?
  
  There are legitimate businesses you can do from home but there is always some sort of set up cost i.e. a transcription machine for data entry for example.
  
  Depending on how much money you wish to earn have you thought about simple things such as selling on Ebay, and Avon representative etc etc.
