Resolved Question
Could I still be an Internet application entrepreneur if I study business studies rather than computer science?
I want to know your opinion here. I have been facinated by people such as Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page, Sergey Brin and many other famous Internet entrepreneurs who all studied computer science in college. I would like to be just like them infact, except I'd like to do business studies insead of computer science. Is it possible that I could still become an Internet iPhone and facebook application entrepreneur by studying business studies as my choice of a course and has anything like this ever been done before? Good advice would be much appreciated here. Thanks.

The short answer is no.
All successful businesses start with a great idea which becomes the right thing at the right time. The person with the winning idea can often be someone with several failed ideas - the difference between success and failure being the ability to recover and start again.
A Business studies undergraduate won't give you any great ideas that will help you to build an internet business. It's a rubbish degree that gives you a little accounting and some poorly developed micro-economics.
On the other hand, an IT undergrad degree isn't going to help you either. I have one and can tell you that I am not even able to talk the language of friends that have done seriously clever things. It is now an overcrowded field that has become very sophisticated. A very different animal from the one of even 10 years ago.
By far the largest percentage of successful entrepreneurs start with a subject like Engineering or Physics. Then they have a eureka moment, perhaps before they even graduate. Then they get financing. Then maybe 5% of that sub group succeed.
