Im building a business directory and want ideas of how to make it great? what are people looking for?

I want to build a free business directory for everyone to use. But i want mine to stand out from the rest and for people to use it because of a unique selling point.

If you're doing it online then please can we have one that doesn't have 50 different things going on at once? One without loads of adverts flashing at you, and one that doesn't give me florists when I asked for upholsterers! Some of them are so awful to use.
